'It's not hopeless': See how this tiny island was brought back to life
CNN's Ivan Watson travels to a remote paradise island off the east coast of Australia which was once mined to the point of being barren. Now an eco-resort teeming with wildlife, the waters around Lady Elliot Island are also on the frontline of the climate crisis, as one of the first places to suffer a mass coral bleaching event that is now spreading across the world. This clip is taken from The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, "Warning to the World: Australia’s Climate Disasters" which airs on CNN on Sunday 8pET.
